Little Red Riding Hood Rides -- Or Walks -- Again

Once upon a time there was a girl we all know as Little Red Riding Hood. You know the story -- off to grandmother's, big bad wolf, grandma eaten, hunter, axe, dead wolf, undigested granny, happy girl, the end. But why was she called Little Red Riding Hood?

Well, she was little, her hood was red and it was a riding hood. This is where some get lost. What is a "riding hood"? A riding hood was a hooded cloak worn by ladies riding horses. Mystery solved!

Still one question remains. If she wore her riding hood, where was her horse?
