Loose Screws

Steve spluttered his cappuccino on the Formica. He leapt from his seat in the diner and ran to his bus where the passengers were busily running off.

I can’t believe I forgot to lock the sodding door.

The psychiatric patients he was transporting from one facility to another were already out of sight by the time he reached the bus.

A plan sprung to mind. Steve jumped into the bus and drove. He pulled into the nearest bus stop, picked up some passengers and locked the doors.

It took 6 weeks for them to be released from the secure hospital.
