Canyon
Red as Mars
Or spent leaf gyres
In icy whirlpool wind
Hot as bars
Of plugged in fires
I have your picture pinned
Upon a cork board in my mind
Oh don't ignite it please be kind
You could be
Part of a place
Under another sun
Dried out sea
Valleyed face
Where rivers once would run
Yet still there runs the course of life
With scales, fur, eyes, teeth, you' are rife
Blink of night
And splash of Moon
I feel from far away
While still in sight
Of a furry spoon
As seems a mouse at play

Love the way you’ve written and rhymed this Jamie. I particularly love the look of it on the page (if that makes sense?) and the imagery. I will need a bit of time to re-read to understand it fully, but I’m still a bear of very little brain.

Thanks Neville . I might change the title.
