Apart from the artificial one breathed by everyone on the Moon, Velo could detect an awkward atmosphere as soon as he stepped out of his cabin into the corridor. He didn't stop anyone and ask them about it, being on his way to see commander Jansen whom, he knew, would be sure to fill him in on anything important. But as his breakfast pill kicked in, unconsciously registered hints of blushes, amusement, even disgust, in faces he'd just passed surfaced, and his own face reddened with the crushing realisation that he'd left his thoughtcaster on. For the whole rest period.

Wow, sounds like a natty, if dangerous, bit of kit, Jamie. Fun drabble. I feel his embarrassment. :-)
