The Perfect Day

The sun glistening off my skin, the sand between my toes, and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore: Finally a day off to enjoy the outdoors. As I dozed off, I thought of the perfection of this moment…
A rumble, and then a cold splatter across my back awakened me suddenly. Dark clouds hovered overhead. Sprinting through the sand, rain pouring down, how suddenly my perfect day had been ruined.
I slowed, stopped, and looked up. What made this less perfect? I did a twirl, smiled, and lay back down in the sand, enjoying the beautiful weather.
