“I’m still good,” said Paul. “It’s been nearly two weeks.”
“Well done,” said the chairperson. “And you, Graham?”
Graham fidgeted in his chair, reluctant to speak.
“Never mind,” said the chairperson, “in your own time, perhaps later.”
“Janet?” The chairperson turned to a middle-aged woman clutching the strap of her bag.
“It’s so hard,” said Janet. “First thing in the morning is worst.”
Others in the group nodded in their shared rapport.
“What’s your coping mechanism?” asked the chairperson.
“Keep busy,” said Janet.
“Keep reminding ourselves of why we are here,” said the chairperson. “I am a Facebook addict...”
