The resolution competition on Dribl was hotting up! It was near the end! Rachel and Adam were neck and neck......then Michelle took matters into her own hands...
With Rachel on 46, Michelle knew her Adam would never win, but aha! If she sent a message to Rachel saying that the end votes seemed fake, and take them off of Rachels score, who would ever believe Rachel? No-one! Michelle knew Adam was golden!
Rachel knew she hadn't cheated, that the competition had been rigged....but she was a bigger person than Michelle, who sadly got eaten by an exogorth. We hope.

What an impressive piece of utter fantasy. You must be extremely imaginative.

Maybe some of the votes were sock puppet accounts? Well-meaning friends voting multiple times? A cursory look at IP addresses could have simply discounted some votes as part of the normal process. It's interesting that several people commenting here haven't posted any stories. I think coming second is no mean feat all told considering the quality of the writing involved in the winner's table and the quality of the competition. Just sorry I wasn't around for the competition itself, as I only learnt about the site on the last day.
