It had occurred to him that someone else was watching. He was not sure who it was, but he knew someone was there. He just could not put his finger on it. Every morning, he would wake up with the same sinking feeling that there was someone peering through any window with their eyes on every one of his moves. He believed that he did nothing interesting, so why would someone be watching him?

One odd morning, his fears were confirmed. The person that was watching him this whole time banged on the front door, screaming "Police, open up now!"

I like the mystery of this drabble. This story ends in suspense and I wonder what he could have done or what happened that caused the police to arrive at his front door. I also think that there was a great buildup to the ending of the story, with him having a gut feeling that someone was watching him and it ultimately ended up being the case.

Interesting twist! The paranoia of the criminal is dramatized well here, though it's a twist in terms of the scope of time (from generalized and vast switching to immediate and specific).
