All her life Tina had been the same. Quiet and unnoticed.

She'd never made much of herself, either, wearing dreary clothes in shades of mud brown and ash grey. No designer labels, everything own brand and shapeless.

Her lowly status was reinforced by her mousy hair and NHS glasses.

But all that was about to change. With trembling hands she lifted the short simple dress from its satin lined box and put it on.

One glance in the fly-blown mirror and the change was complete. She stepped out of the door, transformed.

Nothing would ever be the same again
