Yes, it's a great drabble that took me by surprise at the end. To concentrate on the semi-serious though, it's performance under more extreme conditions that is the true bed differentiator.

Well...so long as it's comfortable enough to allow you to get to sleep, then, since you're unconscious, then that's all it needs to do. On the other hand, if, as most
people do, you plan to use it for conscious, wide awake and energetic activities, then it's important that it's thoroughly tested before you buy...because they're not cheap. If I were you, Shaun, I'd go on a testfest next time you want a replacement.
