With scaly armored plates, a long graceful neck, stilt-like legs, and fuchsia wings, the flamaingolin populates tropical islands and coasts.
Though flamaingolins can fly, the scales along their body and tail limit their flight to short airborne bursts. They live mainly on the ground, only flapping to assist when climbing or jumping.
Communicating through mainly nonverbal gestures with the occasional squawk or honk, they have developed their own culture with distinct rituals and expectations. These bipedal griffins are extremely intelligent and form their own societies based on familial clans. If you are ever lost, they may provide you shelter.

I'll look out for them next time I go for a walk on the common (In the park.) ;-)
