The Queen’s telegram arrived at the nursing home a decade ago but he hadn’t the foggiest. A wasted Royal gesture, pinned on the notice board, one of a growing number these days. He cannot remember anything prior to entering the home either, even cruelly the love of his life who lay by his side every night for nigh on 90 years - indeed his existence is just a mindless blank.
The sadly bleak outlook weighs on the excluded, us on the outside, wondering how long he can continue in his personal limbo. What if he has forgotten even how to die?

Blimey. Bleak but beautifully written Steve.
