Cassandra was the name given to a captured cuttlefish like creature who had spent her free days deep in the sunless sea of a pearl like place of ice and ocean where the Witches Broom Nebula graced the sky . Cassandra herself could cast a kind of spell. She could make moving pictures with colour pulsations , in higher definition than any earth cephalopod, and thus recount events. The researcher who removed a tentacle was imprisoned for the murder of another, played out on her flesh. The killer walked free. Cassandra could lie and the killer had never hurt her.

Will need a few goes to get my head around this! The sunless sea conjured up thoughts of the final destination of Alph the sacred river.

Should have said how much I like your writing in this magical drabble. It’s rich in imagery through associations, metaphors and similes. It sure brings a simile to my face😁. Now I need to gen-up on the (delicious... dare I say it🤔) cuttlefish.

Wow, Jamie, the Witch’s Broom Nebula looks amazing. Now I need to find a Cassandra lookalike.... ‘search... cuttlefish...’

And as for the cuttlefish... so beautiful. I won’t choose it from the menu again although I guess that it might still be OK budgies to trim their beaks on the bony bits as by then the fish will have gone to the great nebula in the sky. You’ve given me a new interest, Jamie! Thanks for that👍
