Drabbling Through Binoculars

A trick of perspective makes a large cedar tree seem overlooked by a lamp post on which a crow surveys the War Memorial below, and one of her cousins, not a corvid as her kind, Jackdaws, and Ravens are, but as related to her as a macaque is to me, a yellow baboon to you. Eye and lens sweeping at first the wrong part of the surrounding pavement, we finally find it haphazardly patrolled and piano hammered by the panda monochrome magpie in smudge misted charcoal looking bird , not lost in the leaves, just looking , pecking, fitfully finding.
