A bad idea?

Looking back at it months later, he knew it had been a bad idea. When the woman sidled up to him at the bar and fired her opening shot, he should have just said he was waiting for someone; a girlfriend, or even more effectively, his boyfriend. But ‘should have saids’ are not even history, they’re pointless. Instead, he now found himself in a ‘situation’ and one that scared the hell out of him.

“You look like I could do with a drink!” said the woman.
