The Story of Evelina and the Great Doyen
Have you ever heard the story of Evelina? They say that this young woman was quite annoying to be around and no one could stand her. To fix this, the God of Knowledge, the Doyen, came down from his world in Infinity to fix her. Of course, since the Doyen likes to toy around with people, he made her likeable, but accidentally destroyed her mind as well. So his sister, the Compos Mentis, had to step in and fix her insanity. When asked about why he went so far to fix Evelina, he responded "Honestly, I hated that freaking woman."

Thanks! I wrote this as sort of an experiment. The characters, the Doyen and the Compos Mentis, are part of a collection of short stories that I am continuing to work on that sort of makes a mythology, since they are both part of a pantheon of gods with a long history. I wanted to see if I could post the really brief ideas on here and make them still be coherent stories, even though it would take at least 10 pages to introduce everything in this mythology.
