An Origin Story

A long time ago, a group of people came together and decided they wanted to summon demons to teach them how to devour the souls of man. These people sacrificed a goat and poured blood on themselves to bring them closer to the spirit world. The demons came to them and told them that if they figured out a way to corrupt society with overwhelming influence in every aspect of people's lives, the degenerate state of humanity would allow them to suck the very essence out of the people's souls. The group, knowing exactly what to do, invented reality television.
