You stand front and center, the lights in your eyes, blinding you of anything but the ground under your feet. You follow the steps from memory, singing on cue. You feel the presence of the other people but you focus on not tripping over your feet to pay attention. The music rises, building. Your feet move faster, your voice soaring and racing to keep pace. You belt out the words, your arms flowing in a graceful arc. Your pulse races, nearly drowning out the orchestra.
It all stops, and you stop with it.
The applause is deafening.
You wake up.
