The Pursuit #8

by

‘That’s it!’ are the only words she uttered after a 2-minute astute reading into my 2-monthly data and handed the invoice copy of 10 $K (price of my wish).

I was ready to camp at every hilltop when I turned broke because I was drunk and my desk draped with a bundle of bills. I observed every constellation for a falling star, and there it was when I needed it the most, a longing whim for the essentials.

While exiting, humanoid spoke,

Blinded by greed,
My sentience ceased,
Didn’t pay heed,
To needs.
I bled,
Then I plead.

Echoes of Randy VanWarmer in para 2! Love the exit poem.

    Thanks, Neville!
I really didn't think of Randy's while writing, I thought the concept is edgy anyways so I added a poem for all the guys.
