The two male lions fought wildly for the final scrap of zebra that lay in the grass, despite the claim the ants already made.
The alpha fought against his challenger, swinging his claws at it's jaw and scratching a chunk of flesh off. The challenger, undeterred, pounced in felinity and snapped it's gaping jaws into the neck of the alpha, biting deeply.
The alpha howled in pain, attempting to continue after, the blood running from his wound. He watched as the challenger scarfed the scrap of zebra and led out.
The alpha's body stayed, but the alpha was gone.
