The long and short of spooky fiction

I doubted the Clairvoyants' first Saturday afternoon meeting would work, Early November is always quiet. Amazingly, the followers came in droves. I was intrigued to meet Miss Ward, who booked by phone with her sexy voice.

Two very old ladies were packing leaflets afterwards.

"I'm Ben, Centre manager, Miss Susan Ward?"

"She's taken today off," cackled one, "Doing NaNoWriMo, writing a 50,000-word novel."

The other giggled, "She'll win OK, with days to spare."

"You're cute, Ben," the first witch commented, "Definitely 'love at first sight' with Suzie."

"Without doubt, both smitten," winked the other.
