I'm miserable. Can't sleep from arthritis, no job, friends, rent a cold shitty flat above a surgery. I scowl, everyone hates me.

Then I woke from a dreamless sleep, no pain, felt 20 years younger. I bounded downstairs like a gazelle.

A youth high-fived me in the street, "I want what you're on!"

In a shop window, my smile was a mile wide. I felt so good.

The paper-shop girl hugged me, said "You made my day!"

I bought a broadsheet to hide my first boner in a decade.

Today back to normal; the dentist's gas ran out.
