“Why… why a kid’s face?” Witch feels cold horror press around her. “Who’d do… that… to a kid?”
“I have a feeling.” Lizard’s hands tighten into fists. Anger, she thinks? Can he even be angry?
“Share?”
“No.” His voice is flat, his jaw clenched. “Speculation. Worthless. What we need is an attack plan.”
“Attack… that?” She can hardly credit the words. As well fight the moon, and see where that got you.
“Yes. She won’t stop. She’ll just make more puppets until she runs out of corpses. Then they’ll make more corpses.”
It’s true. She knows it’s true.
“Any ideas?”

To be honest, I'm feeling a bit mind-blown after watching the anime of Attack on Titan on Netflix. It's incredibly imaginative and horrifying, and I'm not sure anything I can do can measure up to that standard. If you haven't come across it, try it - it's full of the kind of manic energy a good anime gets, without being as corny as many of them are. Good translation too.

As a fan of animes that cut down on the cheese and go all-in with the creativity, I will definitely have to try it. In the meantime, I'd like to say this is a very good drabble in the collection of Wasteland Tales.
