The stars hung above them, crystal jewels scattered over the velvet night.
He held her tightly, disbelieving. His wife. He’d never had a wife before. It seemed too big, too unreal.
Then the night changed. One by one, then in droves, the stars winked out.
“There!” she hissed. “Something…” Then she only gaped.
He saw it. A deeper black against the darkness. Something beyond imagining. Beyond reality.
And then it was on them.
His mind shattered like glass. He felt it break clearly.
Nine months after that night, she gave birth to a child that belonged to neither of them.

Part one had intrigued me. On to part two I go but with my hands covering my face barely peeping between my fingers because I know you're going to make me poop my pants.
