The Little Things
It's funny how you don't see the little things until you're in the position to notice them. I'm having one of those moments right now.
The road is rough and sounds like a plane taking off a runway. Road lines whizzing passed me like a time warp.
I scan the visors warning label, but I'm not reading. The pain is numbing...it's not as intense as before. There's so much blood on my shirt. People around me are screaming.
I feel thirsty - so thirsty.
I'm tired.
I want to rest - can I rest a while until we get where we're going?

The second line hooked me. I was the person although unsure what was happening to them, but maybe they aren't either. Intriguing one this. :-)

Complicated and intriguing enough to capture and force one to consider explanations. This succeeds where with just a touch too much it could've been overdone and lose the reader. Well done.
