Sandy was eighteen months old when we got him, and his sister Molly, in 2007.
He liked to hide... And chew cables (We got him off that habit very quickly)
He was a dirty stop-out and decided to hide in the garden for days on end during the coldest parts of the year. I waited up a few times to close the door when his tummy brought him inside for food.
Everything had a place and that's where it should be. Scruffs and purring always in the same place, same time.
We loved him.
He was a good boy.

A lovely tribute.

Indeed! Sandy sounds like he was a real character, and his own man! What a lovely thing to do to preserve your memories of him in words. I’m sorry he’s no longer with you in tangible terms, but he will still be with you in spirit.

We're pretty sure he had OCD. He'd sit there and complain if I vacuumed his bed and didn't put it back EXACTLY as he'd left it. Scruff's were required before I had a shower in the morning, and I had to make sure the bedroom cupboard door was open so that he could check in there.
He was very, very, sick and it was very sudden. He went to sleep in our arms as we petted him. It's very difficult right now.

It must be difficult to lose a friend and a real character. Sorry for your heartache.
