Bullets whizzed past, splattering lead an brick chips across the wall behind Brian.

"Are you done yet?"

"No! The machine is barely operational!" Screeched Kim, as another hail of bullets skimmed over them both.

"Do something Kim! We can't go on forever you know. I'm running out of ammo!"

"I'm trying to. I can maybe loop us until rescue arrives. But we'll get caught in an entropy bubble."

Another bullet pinged close to Brian's head. "Do it. You know the Agency tracks anti-entropic loops. They'll come find us."

Kim pressed the button.
