Something Buried #5

by

Miguel Chance screamed as the presence coming through the rent in space turned its attention on the crew of the Arbogast. Overwhelming hunger lanced into his soul, a desperate need for one thing...

Blood.

"Serve me." Dribbled the voice in his mind. "Serve me, and live for eternity."

"I... I..." The hunger wracked his body, gripping his torso as if he were in the grip of a giant hand.

"Choose..."

"I... I... Will serve Lord."

"Then join me..." It hissed, as the creatures giant hand reached out and wrapped itself around the hull of the ship. The crew died screaming.

Wow! Blimey! Jeff, you have excelled yourself. I really didn't see this coming, despite your cryptic reply to Drew's earlier comment. Fabulous stuff and brilliantly written. Grit stuff...can't wait!...

Thanks guys. Just writing on the shoulders of giants (We bow before Terrance Dicks 😉)

Terrance Dicks... just checked him out. I bet when the original Tardis was conceived he had no idea how many generations would know it, even though the Police Boxes it was modelled upon could not be familiar with them and, conceptually, might find them a huge joke in today's comms environment.

Well, shame on you Mr Chance, even though your misadventure's made my coffee break exciting :-)
