She disappeared. We had been talking in the living room when I took two steps forward and then turned on the heel of my foot to ask if she wanted a coffee. In that moment she, and everything around me, vanished and I stood in an alpine meadow; the sun streaming down and burning my skin as the ice cold air cooled it.
She was gone, and I was lost. Somewhere. This... alien, place. Above me a cerulean sky, cloudless. At my feet, strange flowers nestle amongst all too familiar grass.
Where am I? I am lost without my love.

Do do....it's good to see it used that way. With two under twos in the family, do do has a different meaning for us.
Really enjoyed the drabble, Jeff. I love the last sentence too. I would be lost without mine.
