We knew little about them, except that they were Gods. Some rode on chariots of fire and lived among us, while others lived in castles that hung heavily in the sky over the sharp, snowy mountains. They looked like us but were radiant. They spoke like us, but their voices flowed like music from harp strings. Some looked down on us and scorned our dirty feet, while others held our hands and lifted us up next to them, making us feel loved. They hated each other. The war they fought sounded like a storm. One day, they broke the mountains.
