Faulty Games

by

Of course, not all bugs in a game need be frustrating. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is infamous for the number of glitches that add a sense of amazement to the game; giants slamming their clubs into you so hard, you are flung to the ozone layer... couriers with mail for you, running to the ends of the land through rain, snow, snow yeti... placing pots over the head of merchants so you may rob them with absolute discretion. There are bugs that prevent you from continuing the game normally, when they occur, but the vast majority simply gain your adoration.

Yeah, glitches can be really cool. But bugs irritate the crap out of me, as much as we have to pay for games. I'm old enough to have had an Atari 2600 back in the early 1980s, and it was the same back then too. The graphics may have improved but not their diligence in rooting out bugs.

The price for games nowadays puts me off checking most modern releases, I don't feel the exchange is usually fair especially for often time the game released is in some way broken, while shelling pre-release orders and battle passes, the like... Bugs are a constant though I agree, it's just how they affect your experience that shines them in a good or bad light.
