Entrance to the Rabbit-hole #1

Tom collected his breath and pinched the crust out of his eyelids. There was a new notification. His eyes narrowed at the header, an article from his subscribed news outlet had been published, 04:39, a minute before he activated his laptop.
The news outlet was called SLN, a network focused within his home country. Tom inspected SLN's homepage and spied that the article he was notified about was not visible. Out of curiosity, he clicked on the notification itself, the link took him to a blank, white page. It seemed the hum of his laptop rose a dulling octave higher.
