Campfire Tales -- The Diner

by

“Okay, I’ll tell you what I mean,” said Joe as the firepit crackled beside him. It was dark with a static noise echoing in the distance.

“Back around 1963, I owned a diner that was popping with business because of my favorite Meat Pie Patties,” said Joe; the radio announces “string of murders across the Monongahela area has people tense,” the rest fades into story as Joe rebuttals back.

“Life was good during that time, and now I’m with you all. Alright time to eat!” Joe pulls out a grate, places it over the firepit, and throws several patties down.

Chilling little cannibal (or is it ghost?) tale!
