You know that seeing the Aurora Borealis, myself, for real, in real time, is top top top of my bucket list. Twice already I’d missed the opportunity to see them when they nudged down south. Iceland has volcanic eruptions right now, so going there as originally planned is out. It’ll have to wait.
Last week I was watching a late night film on the tele. Then I went to bed. Oblivious.
Imagine my irritation the next morning when the village Facebook site was full of stunning local photos of the technicolour sky.
I hate social media; it’s pure social-masochism!

I think you’re right Christopher! And even if I do finally get to see them, I’ll probably just think ‘Is that it? Dunno what all the fuss was about!’

Maybe Fate is trying to tell you something, mate. It might not be meant for you to see those lights!

Thought I might go to Iceland anyway. Even if I don’t see the colours of the Northern Lights, I might be able to match it with a bag of mixed frozen veg!
(For those non UK residents, Iceland is an excellent widespread purveyor of frozen foods.)
