Something to say

I’m a chatter, a serial chatter. You could say I have something to say. I chat to anyone and everyone.

Don’t think I’m lonely; I like people, so many of whom also have things to say and stories to tell. Just the merest hint of interest gets me started. My wife likes my friendliness, but she also says I go on far too long. “It gets embarrassing!”

She says I’ll probably end up one of these old men who terrorises people into conversation. “Probably?” I say, “but I am already!... and not so much of the ‘old’ if you please!”
