Stony..... Broke

I’m a stone borrower... another passion. British beaches have beautiful stones; I borrow them. In Cornwall recently, I took out a number of spectacular stones on extended loan.

Fascinated, I’d placed them in a very large round metal tray on a larger round garden table I’d made. I persuaded a chum to visit the stones with me.

“Let’s consult the stones!” I’d said. Leaning on the table to commune with the stones, it suddenly broke under my weight. It seems the stones had spoken... but who knows what they said!

But, as Bob Dylan almost said, “Everybody must get stones.”
