They warned me, you know. ‘Don’t sit on that wall,’ they said.
I didn’t listen: I knew better. So I climbed up, and that was no easy task let me tell you; I am an egg, after all. Climbing isn’t natural for us.
And I made it. I sat there proudly, looking down over everyone else, and I loved it. Loved watching them, loved the way they looked so small, beneath me.
And then. You know what happened next. Everyone does.
And then I was in bits, waiting for all the king’s horses and men to come and repair me.
