Crying Shame

Intended to be a disciple of a saint, a man not knowing what it is like to be someone’s dedicated follower, makes him a request. The saint gives him some money; the then currency to fornicate which infuriates him. He leaves saying unkind remarks out loud. After 18 years, he comes back crying bitterly to the saint to save his face as his daughter had grown up to be a harlot causing him crying shame. “I offered you a chance but you refused; she would have been born there and wouldn’t have had your name with hers.” The saint replied.
