They were howling like hyenas; it was worse than yodeling cats. There was
an empty bottle of Scotch on the table and the paperwork of his dead father's will, but the talk had moved to the lawyer's mother and how she had misinterpreted the lyrics of the old Carly Simon song.
There were tears but not for the deceased. He was better off, having languished for years in a nursing home. Now came the mess of settling the estate, with the sister unwilling to move out of his house. Her handbag had
been filled with feelings of entitlement and ire.
