When he saw the dead man's name, he remembered him younger. He
remembered them crowded together at a bar, the music
loud and the man would throw his head back with laughter, like tossing back a shot of booze. He had been bold, easy with charm. He remembered her and how she moved amongst them with her arms, and her hair, long and fluid. He was in love with her then.
When he told her the man was dead, there was a pause on the phone,
like waiting for the next song. He stepped in.
"Didn't you dance with him?"
