Now it was the other man's turn.
He asked the rich man, "What goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?"
The rich man scrambled for an answer. After a couple of minutes he finally had to admit he didn't know. He reached in his pocket and handed the man five hundred dollars.
It was the rich man's turn again. "Before I go on, I have to ask. What does go up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?"
The man grinned, reached in his pocket, and handed the rich man five dollars.

This is a joke I heard, but I don't know how old it is so I didn't put it in my Old Jokes series. I also couldn't fit it into one drabble so I had to break it up into two.

Haha! Nice one Christopher!
(Sorry I’ve not been around for a while. I’ve been on holiday where there is no broadband or even mobile (=cellphone US) coverage. It’s a weird feeling, but not altogether desperate though🥴. It was a great holiday in a former public toilet on the beach... it will be drabbled soon!)

Thanks, Jamie. I've just been really busy the last few months of the year. Hopefully now things will calm down some and I can be around more often.

Welcome back Christopher! Very pleased that you’re hopefully approaching a calmer period.

Thanks, Neville. That was one of the most hectic ends to a year I've had in a long time. And I'm not as young as I used to be!
Neville Hunt 22 days ago
Christopher, in reality none of us are as young as we used to be, but my impression of you is that you are still very young, not quite as young as me maybe (😁)... despite my sciatica... but very young in spirit... which shows in your writing!

Thanks, Neville. I'm hitting the big 5-0 this year (September). But my body thinks I passed that milestone about 15 years ago.
Neville Hunt 21 days ago
Christopher... tell your body that 65 ain’t so bad! But 50’s even better 😁. Personally, I’m mentally dividing my own lifetime into pre and post sciatica. I did a bit of silly table lifting upstairs to accommodate the masses and was punished by a reappearance of the condition! Ow, ow and more ow!

Sorry to hear that. I suffer with that too, although from what I hear from other people mine isn't as bad as it could be.

Thanks Christopher. It was just silliness on my part and it went away in time last time and the time before, so as long as I’m not too silly trying to kid myself that I’m macho 💪, it should ease up again in time!
