I come here to the cemetery once a year to visit my wife, on the anniversary of the day it happened. The day we had to part.

I miss her so much. It's hard to believe it's been ten years since it happened.

We were driving to the coast. It was raining heavily. I told her we should stop and find a hotel. She said we should keep going. I didn't see the truck in front of us and drove into the back of it.

She's putting flowers on my grave now.

I want to touch her...

But I can't.

Aha! Silly me; I’m getting thick! (A spirited drabble though, Christopher!)

Well very many congratulations on that, Christopher. And soon another batch of Jake drabbles to swell the numbers even further?🤞

(meanwhile I’m expecting loads to read and providing little in return right now. I need to snap out of it!🥴) Great to see that Jeff is back and that site owner Michael had contacted him to prompt a return.

Yeah, I contacted Jeff via email as well back in June.

I'm writing the next Jake story now but it's early days yet.

Love it! I had a similar idea. But as always, this drabble cannot be bested.
Congratulations on the 2400th! And many more milestones!!
