This was a hashtag that went around Twitter years ago. I don't remember any of them (even those I contributed) so I'm going to try again (sparked by me misspelling a band's name in a text):

The Rolling Stoves
Queer
The Beagles
The Doofs
The Honkees
Depeche Mole
Blank Sabbath
The Grateful Deaf
Buns 'N Roses
The Finks
Nine Inch Rails
Pee Shop Boys
Pink Flood
The Polite
Ratiohead
The Six Pistols
The Spite Girls
Steely Den
Man Halen
The Why
ZZ Hop
Jethro Dull
Rash
Sad Company
Weep Purple
Motley Crud
Alice In Chairs
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Park

If there's any you can't figure out let me know. I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for a few of those.

By the way, I think I dated one of the Spite Girls.

    Hehe!

A great list! You’ve got me on Rash though. I can only think of Ash or The Clash. Enlighten me please Christopher. Maybe it’s a band I’ve never heard of before.

Some of these would be good band names in their own right.. 'The Why is my favourite.

Excellent choice, Jamie. The Which and The Wherefore could also work!

    Thanks, Jamie.

Thanks, Neville. Rash is Rush. I don't know if you had them over there. They're probably the biggest band to ever come out of Canada.

Ah, yes, Rush. All clear now...I must’ve been fixated on the ‘a’!

Remember hearing and liking Spirit Of The Radio as a kid. Thought it was a woman singing it. Great Song,
