He didn't get a chance to fire, though, as I put a bullet in the middle of his chest. He went flying back as Gertie screamed. She turned toward me and fired. I rolled to the side, fired at her and missed, which was quite an embarrassment considering how big a target she was.
She had ducked behind a stack of crates that wasn't currently on fire.
Nigel Buckingham yelled, "Bloody 'ell!" and started for the door.
Jack Salem was just standing there motionless, apparently still stunned about the situation with Sandra.
I heard a shot and looked toward Harrigan...

No problem, Christopher. I really like it. It’s my genre!
I just had printed a very small (A6, 32 pages) volume of selected drabbles and longer stories to distribute to, and terrorise (!) my friends and family. It’s some of my darker work. Mrs H was horrified when she read it. (Thinks... I wonder if my village store will sell it? I might get a bad reputation locally😱.) I wouldn’t know how to get one to you or else I’d terrorise you too! Hehe!

I'd love to read it but it would probably cost a fortune to ship it over here. My ex sent me something from Canada once and it cost her like 40 bucks. And that country's right above us!
