"Oh no," Gertie said. "Did you really think we'd let any witnesses go?"
I shook my head, "No, I assumed you were dishonest. That's why I brought back-up."
"Bullshit!" Gertie barked. "You're bluffing!"
The door opened. Harrigan started walking in.
I smiled until I saw the bartender from The Devil's Den behind Harrigan with a gun in his back.
"I found this schmoe snooping around outside," the drink slinger said with that raspy voice.
Harrigan looked at me as if to say, "I'm sorry."
