They did as they were told. I repeated the order for the blimp.

"I ain't laying on that filthy floor!" she said.

"Would you rather your quite ample frame slump to the floor after it's been shot?" I asked.

She got out of the chair, which took about 15 seconds, and joined her men on the floor, taking another 15 seconds to get prone.

Now I could start rifling the desk. It was all starting to make sense now. Apparently the beached whale on the floor was Gertrude Stratton, of the Stratton Agency.

    Gertrude... what a lovely name for her.

    Yeah, her character just screamed Gertrude. And that thing about her taking a while to get out of her chair was another dig at my old teacher, because she would stand up and the chair would still be attached to her backside!

    Hahaha! I can see her in my mind’s eye! And every time she walked through the school entrance the fat must’ve been in the foyer!

    Haha! She was probably the biggest woman I've ever actually seen. I've seen 700 lb. women on reality shows that they had to take one of the walls of her house down to get her out and to the doctor, but I've never seen one of them in the flesh. At least my teacher was still mobile, even if she moved very slowly.
