"Hello, Brick," she said as she kissed him on the cheek.
"Lily," Mason said.
"And who might you be?" she said as she looked at me.
Sperry looked like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming truck.

Hehe! Who makes the better actor, eh Jake?
Thanks for this bundle of drabbles, Christopher, I’m getting excited about what’s going to turn up in San Francisco... maybe some real action.

Thanks, Neville. Yeah, things will heat up a little in the Golden City. It's been a little light on action so far because of the nature of this particular storyline. Thanks for sticking with it.

It’s not a case of sticking with it Christopher, it’s being part of the build up to the action I know is just around the corner. You have really set up the key characters (and Jake) well. I can visualise Brick as a 3 by 4 by 8 (sized up a bit!😁) and Sperry as a pressure cooker. And Roxie, she may be foxy but probably dangerous! Thanks for the Jakefest again.
