I'm scouring the woods looking for it. I didn't believe in werewolves until I saw one tearing out the throat of my wife. Now I'm out here in the pale moonlight looking for the hairy bastard.

I managed to get a silver bullet made. One lousy bullet. The only thing that will kill it. I had it blessed by a priest too. Every little bit helps.

There it is. It sees me. I've only got one shot. If I miss I'm dead.

It's growling at me!

I better get this right!

It's charging toward me!

I'm firing!

(Bang!)

I missed...

Thanks, Neville, but it was actually a one-off. He said if he missed he was dead and he missed so...

I originally had in mind for storyteller to be the werewolf but I changed it. I'll ponder doing a whole story about it. I didn't think beyond that one.

Thanks Christopher. I’d realised that it was a one-off, but was crying out for more in the same genre!

It would be interesting to write it from the perspective of the werewolf, and maybe even from the perspective of the wood (trees), and maybe from the ghost of his throat-torn wife? I did this with a simple story series called The Trigger way back from fourteen different perspectives. It was challenging, but fellow (late?) Drablr D.M. threw down the gauntlet and I said YES! and it was really fun to do.

Yeah, I remember that story. It's an interesting idea. I might try it. I'm still just trying to get back into the groove of writing, though.

Well you sure seem to be succeeding getting in that groove!

Btw, Not sure if it will be on BritBox, but I watched a tribute to my old boss, F1 commentator Murray Walker, last night. It was really uplifting, firstly because I had known him so well, secondly that his incredible enthusiasm and style was exactly as I remember him as a boss in advertising (“my proper job!”) and third.y because of the tributes from all the great and the good, drivers and constructors. They all loved him, every single driver and constructor, and he was welcome anywhere and everywhere he went on the track/in the world. Worth watching.

I let BritBox go some time back but I found out that they have the full series of Benidorm now, which they previously only had the first four series, so I'll probably get it back at some point so I'll check it out. I'm subscribing to HBO Max for one month ($14.99 a month!) so I can watch Godzilla vs. Kong, which is the first movie in a long time that I've really wanted to see.

That moment of hope after the bang....

Wonder how much the human remembers about what went on while they were in wolf mode. .Fictional creature of course but it's fun to think about (-: Curious in the same way about what Time Lords' memories of their previous regenerations are like. Know that in real life experiments have suggested butterflies remember things from when they were caterpillars!.

That's interesting. I don't think traditionally those in literature that suffer from lycanthropy remember what went on while they're transformed. I suppose they could hypnotize the subject into remembering. That might be an interesting angle.

Lycanthropy... I’ve learned a new word today! Thanks Christopher👍

No problem. I learned that word long ago when I saw The Wolf Man with Lon Chaney Jr. I've read it in books since then but that was the first time I'd heard of it.

In my mind it just bit you. Now you can play werewolf tag.
