And Now A Word From Our Sponsor #41

by

Tonight on Sux TV:

A hard-hitting look at life on the streets for the Grammar Police...

"Freeze, punk! Drop that smartphone!"

"Hey, man, I'se just postin' sumthin' on Twitta! I didn't do nothin'!"

"That's a double negative, pal. Didn't do nothing means you did do something! We've got the evidence: syntax and punctuation errors, dangling modifiers, sentence fragments. You're under arrest."

Ride with the real Grammar Police as they cruise the mean streets of the information superhighway...

"Yeah, we'll take him downtown and book him tonight and tomorrow he'll be right back on social media ending sentences with prepositions."

Nice pun in the first comment. Sounded like something Neville would've said. Makes me miss his participation here.

Yeah, I went back and looked at my sponsor drabbles and I've created quite a bit of content for Sux TV over the years. This June I will have been here five years. It seems like longer. I actually don't remember a time when I wasn't here.

Thanks. Yeah, I looked and saw that Neville, you and I are the three top drabblers here, followed by Lisa and Jeff. And then I saw that Neville's friend Steve was number 6. I didn't remember that he had posted that many drabbles during his time here.

But, now that I think about it, I believe Neville might have mentioned that in a comment shortly after Steve passed, about Steve being closely behind us in the drabble department. But I hadn't looked it it myself until just now.

And, by the way, I've really enjoyed reading all the great work here. And I particularly appreciate all the support you and Neville have given me over the years.
