Of all the Pythons, Terry Jones played a ratbag female the best. Whether it was the waitress in the Spam sketch or a doting English mother, he had a knack for it. As well as any other character he played.

I discovered the Pythons in my youth, delighted to know there were other people out there that had as warped and twisted a sense of humor as I did.

Jones died yesterday from complications of dementia at the age of 77.

I'm sure Graham Chapman was standing there with a smile to welcome him into eternity.

Rest in peace, Terry.

This may not be a fitting eulogy but I just heard about his death and wrote it as I felt it.

It’s a very fitting eulogy Christopher. A sad end to a genius. What was equally sad was hearing Michael Palin saying when interviewed that what he would miss most about Terry was going out for a pint with him. I know what he means. Mrs H too was moved to tears later as she watched him being interview on TV.

If you’ve not seen them and can somehow access them, Christopher, try watching Ripping Yarns which the pair of them wrote. Cracking stuff!

He will be missed. That is a really good drabble to help send him on his way. 🙁
